The work of Zorodzai Mukondo (Zoro), draws upon inspiration from classical figurative and narrative based artworks. Her interests derive from a variety of sources, ranging between Pre-Raphaelitism, Magical Realism and Films. The self-portrait, currently ‘Untitled’, is a personal experiment with the landscape and it’s close relations to the self. Exploring feelings of solitude, and states of loneliness, yearning and nostalgia. Accompanying this, a short film, ‘The Imperceptible Passing’, a visually poetic film displaying the words and prompt writing that she creates.
