This project is an exploration of origami structures inspired by modular design. An iterative making and testing approach led to the foldable, joinable module that is the foundation for the project. It offers a folding experience for the intended audience through assembly, usage, and storage.
The project’s outcome – ‘PRESS LAMP’ is made of Dupont Tyvek. The lampshade is foldable, making it convenient for storage. The base is constructed from cardboard and serves as the packaging. Both components are digitally cut and are self-assembly.
