GEOMETRIC WEAVING is a contemporary approach that explores traditional crafts combined with modern technology. The geometric structures achieved are in stark contrast to those of traditional weaving.
I began by testing various materials and weaving techniques, embarking on a journey of continuous experimentation. I have pioneered ‘Geometric Weaving,’ the basis of the project.
The project responds to current and growing threat to weave as published in The Red List of Endangered Crafts. Outputs include a weave collection and exhibition that presents the project development journey to intended audiences.
