My final major project has been an exploration of the relationship between queerness and elements of ecology. My outcome takes components of a bryozoa zooid- a type of hermaphroditic invertebrate that often breeds asexually to create a textile collage resemblant of a bryozoan colony. A key feature of my outcome is the lino design based on a lophophore, the bryozoa’s feeding structure, often described as ‘A Crown of Tentacles’.
