Mercy
This piece collates collected materials from church pamphlets, teachings as well as hand-painted silk which draws its pattern from abstracted images of the church building. The texts have been cut up and sewn together to highlight unsettling and morose teachings from the church that create feelings of guilt and doom throughout my own childhood.
