Laurel’s practice is rooted in nature, people and place. Her work takes shapes in various forms including book making, workshops and hand-drawn illustrations. Making is at the heart of Laurel’s practice; she is particularly fond of using drawing, painting and papercut as a means of creating.
Plankton Power is an activity zine aimed at KS2 children explaining the topic of plankton. The papercut zine aims to condense and boil down complex information in an exciting way. The zine explores different plankton species, interesting facts and includes a creative opportunity to ‘make your own plankton’.
