The title of my project is The Adaptation – within this I am exploring the portrayal of pieces of literature that has been adapted repeatedly in film and theatre.

I am communicating the theme of love and death in novels and their adaptations. I’ve used the language from many different novels and the imagery from lots of adaptations of these novels to create my own pop-up book combining them all and that tells my own story and understanding on how love and death are portrayed in these adaptations.

Through my art and storytelling, I think it’s important for me to show the intricate connections between these two themes and how they are often intertwined in literature and putting my own perspective and interpretation on a timeless idea that has been explored in countless works.
