Charge of the Stripe Brigade takes inspiration from the striped graphic nature of ceremonial military dress. It is an exploration into the fabrication and translation of military insignia onto the female body. A strong feminine edge is merged with a traditionally masculine style of dress. The unpredictability of ‘dazzle camouflage’ juxtaposed with the precision a traditional military stripe is explored through processes such as screen printing, fabrication manipulation and pattern cutting.
