Character is at the heart of my practice, my work focusses on telling the stories of these characters. For my Extended Practice Project I created an interactive website which depicted a range of visual development for a story I had wrote in the summer; a story about a fisherman’s son who longs to be a chef but feels he is duty bound to his father. With the project, I explored storytelling, production, character design, environment and set rendering, website design, and typography. The wide range of my practice is something which I value and is present throughout all of my work.
Whilst the majority of my work is still, I also like to add animated elements to my projects. I have created stop-motion animation collaboratively but my focus lies on digital animation which aids and emphasises my projects intentions. Throughout the Catch website, there are many small animated elements that allow the story to unfold in an interactive way.
An exploration of character and set design which is grounded in cinema influences.
