Dino
My menswear ready-to-wear collection is routed in my childhood love of dinosaurs, researching into biological imagery and the palaeontologists that discovered the fossils, I gained extensive visual and silhouette inspiration to put into this collection. With a focus on fabrication and colour I used methods such as cyanotype to create organic prints on my garments, while the placement and concept was considered, the final result was inevitably unknown until the very end. Taking visuals from fossil excavation I developed my own layering and cut out designs, which are a key feature within my collection. Using a mix of classic fabrics, including, wools and cottons as well as, less traditional menswear fabrics such as faux fur, creates a textured and animated feel to the collection.
