IDEOLOGY + SYSTEM
The inspiration for this collection comes from my thought while living in the epidemic environment in China. During my two-year break from school, I worked in public places. According to China epidemic law, as long as the epidemic occurs in the area where you work, nucleic acid testing must be done three times a week. In the beginning, we all completed the tasks according to the requirements. After half a year, my colleagues and I will use each other’s COVID-19 QR codes to help each other do nucleic acid tests. This made me think that everyone has their ideas. However we live in a system framework, and we must obey the system. These ego thoughts that have been suppressed all the time will trigger when cornered. Just like a butterfly shedding its shell, the pupa will become smaller due to water evaporation over time, and the butterfly will slowly emerge from the pupa to spread its wings and fly away.
